Falconer Print Switches to Intec XP2020 PRO

Monday, October 01, 2012

Press release from the issuing company

Faster and better quality. Two key benefits experienced by Falconer Print in Elland, West Yorkshire, since switching the printing of its packaging samples from an Epson printer to the Intec XP2020 PRO.

"Previously we were proofing on a standard Epson and mounting the artwork designs onto board," reveals PrePress Manager Simon Mitchell. "Per design this was extremely time consuming and quite often pharmaceutical clients require five or six proofs of each design. Where a client may have 20 individual designs this would add onerous production pressure to the pre-press department and additional cost to the client," he explains.

"It's a different story with our Intec heavy stock digital printer (purchased through Fastek in Bingley). It can handle substrates up to 600micron and makes light work of our client's demands. From loading final artwork to final cad cut design takes minutes. It's that easy and what's impressive is that our customers are delighted in the quality of the final proof design quality for no extra cost. We're starting to see great interest, in the system, and have already seen a positive increase in demand, as a result of purchasing the Intec. I would highly recommend it," concludes Mr Mitchell.

Falconer Print uses its XP2020 PRO to produce packaging proof designs for pharmaceutical and healthcare clients, but also for the cosmetic, giftware and hair care sectors.  The company employs 38 staff and has a vast and expanding customer  base across a wide range of sectors in the UK and the continent.

David Green, General Manager at Fastek, adds: "We're delighted to have provided Falconer Print with this time saving solution to their packaging mock-up production. Thanks to its ultra-heavy stock capability and ease of use, the Intec XP2020 is ideally suited to this type of role, and produces consistently excellent quality results. We wish Falconer all the very best in securing incremental business as a result."

Peter Swann, UK Channel Manager at Intec Printing Solutions adds: "The fact that this XP2020 is fitted with a PRO RIP means that it enhances the quality of the output giving more control and flexibility to Falconer. It also incorporates Easybook, which helps assist with the lay-up of jobs."
