Sinapse Sheetfed Simulators used at EuroSkills

Press release from the issuing company

The 2012 Euroskills competitions are held in Spa Belgium on October 4-6th, 2012. For this competition, the Sinapse sheetfed simulator will use the Heidelberg-type interface, which perfectly reproduces the interface found on the SM series.

For the graphics arts, these competitions are run as a set of teams who have to produce a graphic project: design, implementation, and printing.  This is different from the WorldSkills competition (next in Leipzig 2013) where each activity has a separate competition and it is individuals not teams who are the contestants.

In Spa, there will be two Heidelberg 2-color presses for the actual production, and there will be four 6-color Sinapse Sheetfed press simulators to evaluate other printing and problem-solving knowledge.

Each day the contestants from the 6 participating countries: Austria, Belgium, Estonia, Finland, Malta and Portugal will have problems of increasing complexity to solve on the simulators.

There is no charge for attendance at the EuroSkills competition: for more information see: http://www.euroskills2012.info/en/home
