MediaExx (MX) today announced today they are sponsoring a 30-minute presentation at the Graph Expo Marketing Pavilion on Tuesday, October 9th, at 11:00 am. Titled "Getting Aggressive with Your Internet Marketing," the session promises to guide commercial printers and digital service providers toward a more effective, efficient, and rewarding internet strategy. Presenting for MediaExx will be renowned industry expert Dr. Joe Webb, and MediaExx Director of Internet Technology, Slava Apel. MediaExx will be offering up two of the most experienced and noted consultants in their fields:

  • Dr. Joe Webb: Dr. Joe is a Ph.D. graduate of the New York University Center for Graphic Communications Management and Technology. His M.B.A. is in Management Information Systems, and his undergraduate degree is in Managerial Sciences and Marketing. He entered the graphic arts industry in 1978 in the marketing department of Agfa-Gevaert, and then moved to Chemco Photoproducts in 1981 as its first market research analyst, leaving the company in 1987 as its Director of Marketing. In 1987, he assumed the consulting practice of Harrie F. Lewis, leaving in 1994 to form TrendWatch, which was sold to international publisher Reed Elsevier in 2000.
  • In 2003, his first column appeared in WhatTheyThink.com, and he emerged as one of the industry's foremost commentators and forecasters, and most requested speakers. Dr. Joe has 25 years of experience as a graphic arts consultant and forecaster. His book, "Disrupting the Future: Uncommon Wisdom for Navigating Print's Challenging Marketplace," with co-author Richard Romano, was the guideline for the creation of MediaExx. In addition to all of his other educational and consultant activities, Dr. Joe is MediaExx's resident expert advisor.
  • Slava Apel: Slava is one of the top 35 most influential Canadians in print. He combines more than 15 years of experience in the trenches managing a print technology company with 5 years running a marketing agency. He has an extensive background in teaching marketing techniques at industry events in 6 different countries. He writes on topics of Web-to-Print, automation and marketing for several major graphics arts magazines, as well as consults with industry leaders on how to take their business into the next generation of print.
