Polestar Delivers Paralympic Daily Programs

Press release from the issuing company

For eleven consecutive nights from Wednesday 29th August to Saturday 8th September, Polestar Colchester produced the London 2012 Paralympic Games Daily Programme to an extremely tight production schedule. Data was available at 8pm, with initial collection just over four hours later, at 12.30am.

The Daily Programmes were saddle stitched and consisted of 64pp text, plus 4pp cover with gloss machine varnish to the outer cover.

Gary Charlton, Head of Production at Haymarket Media's Network Division said:

'Once again Polestar has done a fantastic job producing the London 2012 Paralympic Games Daily Programme. The quality has been exceptional as has the dedication shown by all the staff at the Colchester factory to produce this project. The schedules to produce a quality magazine on a daily basis for the 11 nights of the Paralympic Games were obviously very tight, but Polestar ensured that all the copies were produced to the highest standard and delivered on schedule. Polestar did everything possible to ensure that there were no hitches or problems with production. Their contribution has been incredible and I can't thank everyone involved, from account management, printing, binding and despatch, enough.'

David Gray, Sales Director at Polestar, said:

'Having successfully produced the London 2012 Olympic Games Daily Programmes, the London 2012 Paralympic Games presented another series of challenges – not least that, as sole supplier, the responsibility for successful manufacture rested squarely on the shoulders of the Polestar Colchester team. Everyone was proud to have done our part in tandem with Haymarket Media's Network Division to contribute to this historic event.'
