Mediaclip Goes Mobile

Press release from the issuing company

Today, Mediaclip is launching version 2.9 of the Mediaclip Photo Product Creator Suite at Photokina (Cologne, Germany). The latest release includes all the web services required to use the new mobile app (available on iOS and Android). This app enables users to order prints, photo enlargements, greeting cards, postcards, posters and can support any other single and double-sided printed products. The new version of the mobile app, being demonstrated this week at Photokina, fits in with Mediaclip's line of white-label online, desktop and kiosk software solutions for retailors, printers and web service providers wishing to offer photo product personalization.

According to Marion Duchesne C.I.O. of Mediaclip, "The biggest benefit of working with an open architecture, is that we can leverage advantages from several technologies such as HTML5 and Flash in order to provide the best possible user experience on every platform. Our team's main focus was on ease-of-use in order to drive early adoption. The app enables users to quickly and easily order photo prints, greeting cards and posters from their mobile devices. The software instantly leverages the ubiquity of mobile devices and provides retailors with an opportunity to engage with consumers at the moment they capture the fun and important moments in their lives." She adds, "Since smartphones have become the camera of choice for so many of us and with the emergence of wi-fi cameras using mobile operating systems  like Android, mobility is a key component to Mediaclip's solutions portfolio."

Version 2.9 of the Mediaclip Photo Product Creator Suite provides more flexibility in the way of customization -- enabling licensees to fully rebrand the app in the style of their corporate identity. They may change the colors, add their logo, replace the icons, integrate external links (Q&A, user account, etc…), define the product selection, themes inventory and localize the text. Numerous other backend features are also included in this release to improve overall performance including automated optimization of image resolution for reducing upload time from the mobile devices.

To learn more about all the new features included in version 2.9 or to play with the new app visit Mediaclip's booth (Hall 6.1, booth C-11) at Photokina in Cologne, Germany, from September 18th to 23rd or visit www.mediaclip.ca.
