This one hour event is entitled "The Business of Printing." During the session, Dr. Joe will offer insights into the key steps required to creating a flexible organization built on a strong, unshakable foundation... delivered in his well-known and contrarian style, followed by the usual lively Q&A. Attendees are sure to leave this event with actionable ideas they can put into play immediately.

Topics include:

  • Economic overview and the post-election economy
  • It's the printing BUSINESS that matters, not just PRINT
  • The paradox of digital media: using it and competing against it
  • Essential aspects of a flexible, yet unshakable, print business: its people and investments

"Many printing businesses have realized that their market focus must be more creative and dynamic as they both compete with and embrace digital media," said Dr. Webb. "Those two concepts present an interesting paradox that underscores the need for planning and superior execution of those plans."

This is the tenth year WhatTheyThink has held this popular and important educational event at Print/Graph Expo. Each year, the audience has grown, and the event provides a worthwhile opportunity to catch up on the state of the industry, see old friends and meet new ones. "Our audience is industry CEOs, VPs, product managers, educators, students, investors, and others, from all industry segments," Dr. Webb explained.

"We are pleased to sponsor this event," said Guy Gecht, CEO of EFI.  "It has become a tradition at Graph Expo over the last decade and Dr. Joe's insights are always unique and actionable.  We are especially excited about this year's topic, which aligns with EFI's strategy and reflects the need for dramatic changes in the way printing firms do business in today's dynamic and multichannel world."

Randy Davidson, President of WhatTheyThink, stated, "EFI's generosity and thought leadership as the exclusive sponsor of this important event has enabled WhatTheyThink to make it free to all attendees. We are honored by their decision to support this event and the needs of printing executives and owners."
