Warren Werbitt to Deliver Print World Opening Keynote

Press release from the issuing company

Print World Trade Show and Conference (November 17-19, 2012), is announcing that Warren Werbitt, president of Pazazz Printing in Montreal, will be the opening keynote speaker of the conference on Sunday, November 18, 2012.

Werbitt achieved YouTube fame with his now famous ranting paean Printing’s Alive. Since then he has become a regular speaker at various industry events in North America. His opening keynote, “Let’s Make Print Relevant,” will touch on some of his favourite themes: making clients, indeed the world, aware of how necessary print is to the success of their businesses, and resisting selling print on price only. He is sure to draw controversy with his no-holds barred critique of some industry practices, but also to inspire attendees with his passion for printing.

The second keynote address will come from Jacques Côté, Group President, Physical Mail, Canada Post, on Monday, November 19, 2012.  He will update attendees on the transformation strategies the crown corporation is implementing for more efficient delivery of all categories of mail, including direct mail and transaction mail. The transformation includes new mail guide specifications to be unveiled at Print World that promise more creativity for direct mailers.

“Our line-up this year promises colourful commentary, hard facts, reliable assessments of technology, and news that impacts print operations. In short, there’s something of value for everyone,” says Sandy Donald, Print World show manager, about the conference.

The Management Seminar line-up delivers high-punch value as well:

Increasing Profits with Value-Added Services
Speaker: Jay Mandarino, President, C.J. Graphics, Toronto

Print World Trade Show and Conference takes place in downtown Toronto on November 17-19, 2012, at the state-of-the-art Direct Energy Centre. Toronto is Canada’s largest metropolitan area (5 million+) and the heart of the Canadian printing market. It boasts more printers per capita than anywhere else in North America. Toronto is also an international city, with an exciting multicultural heritage and a vibrant and safe downtown.

Toronto is a 90-minute drive from the U.S.-Canada border and Toronto Pearson International Airport features direct flights to all major U.S. cities. In addition, Porter Airlines, one of the official carriers for Print World, operates direct flights between downtown Toronto’s Billy Bishop Airport and major centres in the Northeastern U.S. (Boston, New York, Washington), and Chicago. Print World is a 3-minute cab ride away from Billy Bishop Airport, so it’s possible to do the show in one day.
