Arandell Launches Exclusive Mobile Commerce Solution for Catalogers

Press release from the issuing company

Arandell Corporation, the premier catalog printer, mailer, and distributor in the United States, announced today an exclusive partnership with Boulder, CO-based mShopper to help catalog publishers take advantage of the USPS 2012 Holiday Mobile Shopping Promotion and save up to 3% on monthly postage costs.

Arandell has made it incredibly easy for catalog publishers to realize these savings. mShopper's platform allows catalogers to create mobile-friendly mStores for their entire catalog, along with QR codes to easily drive traffic, without any IT integration needed. Catalog companies create thousands of mobile-friendly product and promotional pages that reduce postage costs and immediately generate more sales by improving the shopping experience.

David Gould, mShopper's founder & CEO, explained: "The USPS promotion is just the start. Our two companies are working together to develop other mobile applications that target shoppers of all age groups. mShopper shares Arandell's vision of how mobile technology can help catalog publishers drive more engagement and sales in today's multi-channel consumer environment."

"We are extremely excited about how this partnership will benefit our clients," added Don Treis, Arandell's CEO. "While this solution helps catalogers qualify for the USPS promotion and reduce costs, it also generates additional mobile revenue that covers the cost of going mobile. The print catalog has become the foundation for an interactive consumer experience. Arandell is leading the way to bring this technology to market in an easy and affordable way".

Many catalog publishers do not realize that the USPS has extended its very successful mobile commerce promotion into the 2012 Holiday season. The Holiday Mobile Shopping Promotion will provide business mailers with an upfront 2% postage discount on standard mail and first-class mail letters, flats, and cards. Retailer can save an additional 1% if they use Priority Mail. These print materials must include a mobile barcode or print/mobile technology that is readable by a mobile device and links recipients to a mobile-optimized shopping website.

The USPS promotion is designed to showcase how technology and mail can work together. The post office is hoping to encourage mailers to send more mail and is counting on consumer interest in technology to drive revenue for mailers such as catalogers.

Gould concluded: "We're incredibly motivated to help retailers open and promote a new mobile sales channel in time for the Holidays. mShopper offers the only complete m-commerce solution that can be launched and selling in days, not months!"
