Kinko's Celebrates Grand Opening of Tenth Toronto Location

Press release from the issuing company

TORONTO, Feb. 27 -- Kinko's, an operating company of FedEx Corp., today announced the grand opening of its tenth Toronto area location. The official grand opening of the new flagship store -- which is located in the heart of Toronto's financial district -- began this week with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Month-long grand opening promotional prices include 8 1/2- by-11-inch color copies for only 55 cents each and 8 1/2-by-11-inch black-and- white copies for only three cents each. "The entire Kinko's Canada team is excited to celebrate the opening of our tenth Toronto store, a flagship location built to serve the needs of customers ranging from consumers to businesses of all sizes," said Hugh Johnson, director of sales and marketing for Kinko's Canada, Ltd. "Canada is one of our prime expansion markets within the Kinko's Network, and this new location expands our ability to serve both local customers and business travelers from around the world." The new store is part of Kinko's globally connected network of more than 1,200 locations and 20,000 professionals in 10 countries. The 3,834 square- foot branch is staffed by 17 team members and provides business services to consumers, local market businesses, and large corporations. The new flagship location includes the company's first closed-door commercial production centre in Toronto. Kinko's CPCs are dedicated to the higher volume and more sensitive business document production needs of Kinko's commercial customers. Retail offerings include convenient access to copying, printing, and finishing; signs and banners; high-speed Internet access; and FedEx Express drop boxes. The combination of FedEx and Kinko's increases customer access to FedEx shipping services and allows the company to capitalize on emerging business trends, including cost-effective corporate outsourcing of printing and copying services, digital document management and connectivity for the mobile professional. The new Toronto store is Kinko's 19th location in Canada. The company's 2004 plans currently call for three additional branches later in the year. The new Kinko's Toronto store is located at 357 Bay Street, Suite 100 (at the intersection of Bay St. and Temperance St.).
