Fujifilm to Increase Prices for Newspaper Products

Despite efforts to control costs, FUJIFILM North America Corporation, Graphic Systems Division today announced that it is implementing price increases for Fujifilm branded newspaper plates and processing chemicals effective September 1, 2012.
Fujifilm makes ongoing structural reforms to reduce fixed costs and improve productivity; however, these price increases are necessary due to the rising costs of energy, transportation, petroleum-based raw materials, labor, and packaging used in the manufacturing of graphic arts materials. The prices will increase by up to 6 percent on selected newspaper plates and processing chemicals.
