Kodak Versamark Introduces New Brand to International Press

DAYTON, OH--Feb 26, 2004 -- Kodak Versamark, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Eastman Kodak Company, unveiled its new brand to a large audience of international journalists at a pre-Drupa press conference in Athens, Greece. The conference, a forum for the print industry, provides journalists and editors advanced briefings on products to be displayed at Drupa 2004, the world's largest trade show for the printing industry held every four years in Düsseldorf, Germany. The new brand for the company comes only weeks after Kodak completed the acquisition of the assets of Scitex Digital Printing, Inc. from Scitex Corporation in early January. Under its new brand name, Kodak Versamark, the company will unify its products, services, packaging, collateral and web site with the new identity. Kazem Samandari, vice president, Global Marketing and Product Management, for the Dayton, Ohio-based company acknowledged the importance and scope of the branding initiative. "The time is right to introduce a new look for our company and products. As part of Kodak's Commercial Printing Group, our new name and brand reflect the synergies and vision we share for our future in digital print." Kodak Versamark, Inc., recognized as a leading provider of ultra-high-speed, 100% variable data, digital printing systems now has access to an extensive patent portfolio, research and development capabilities and the power of the Kodak brand. "Our new company and brand name convey expertise with the integration into one of the world's most recognizable brands as well as the commitment of value to our customers and industry," noted Samandari. Other presentations during the conference focused on the wide range of new products to be demonstrated at the trade show in May. The products introduced target a variety of markets and printing applications and include the company's next generation technology product and a new controller, a joint development with the company and EFI.
