Midland Information Resources Celebrates 30th Anniversary

Press release from the issuing company

Midland Information Resources, a global provider of media management solutions, celebrates its 30th year of business. Founded on July 12, 1982 by current CEO Gene Blanc, Midland has grown to be an industry leader in the development of simplified media management solutions.

“Thirty years of success is the result of a combination of many factors,” said Blanc. “The most important factor is the people. Working together as a team we have provided our customers, suppliers, shareholders, community, and our fellow employees with the balance necessary to exceed each and everyone’s expectations.”

Blanc’s vision was to provide customers with high-quality, quick-turn, short-run, one and two color printed literature and technical publications – a need he identified as being virtually unfulfilled in the printing industry. Thirty years later, Midland Information Resources continues to fulfill this same core mission.

Throughout Midland’s three decades of operations, they have grown from a local supplier of printed materials to a global provider of media management solutions. In their 30th year of business Midland shipped to over 150 countries and was present on 6 of 7 continents.

Success has come from both the company’s and employees’ willingness to not only accept the changes within the industry, but to actually initiate many of these changes. They have partnered with industry leaders to develop and implement new solutions in electronic file management, short-run digital printing, variable printing, and one-off book printing and distribution solutions. They have capitalized on the technological advances in their industry to successfully transition from a “traditional” printing company to a high-tech provider of information services.

“We recognize that our history of spearheading solutions that effectively resolve business challenges is what made us who we are and will continue to be the key to shaping our future,” said Blanc. “Through continued innovation in global media management, I see nothing but a strong future for the company and its employees.”
