Screen (USA) Hosts Successful Open House Events

Press release from the issuing company

Screen (USA) threw the doors wide open to customers wanting in-depth demonstrations of digital printing and imaging solutions. The Screen team hosted a series of open house events on June 26-28 at the company’s recently expanded Demonstration Center in Rolling Meadows, Ill.

With 12,000-plus square feet of modern demo space, including two comfortable visitor lounges, the Demonstration Center houses various on-demand printing systems designed to profitably produce high-quality commercial, transactional, direct mail, signs and other general graphics printing projects. Printing company representatives from across the United States and Latin America came to see and test the latest entries in the Truepress family of digital inkjet printing systems, as well as such customer-proven devices as the Truepress Jet520 inkjet web press and Truepress Jet2500UV board and roll inkjet printer.

“The Truepress line is enjoying strong interest among print service providers who are eager to capitalize on inkjet technologies to expand their product portfolios and increase revenue streams,” said Tom Leibrandt, Screen’s print on demand product manager. “We encouraged attendees to take a long, hard look at our high-speed web, sheetfed and wide-format systems, and discover how Screen can help their businesses become more diversified and more profitable. There is almost no limit to the creative opportunities these advanced print engines can afford print shops.”

Printing demonstrations highlighted the superior reproduction and efficiency that the Truepress series brings to large-format projects, print on demand, transpromotional printing and packaging applications. The two newest models in the Truepress line — Truepress JetSX inkjet sheetfed press and Truepress Jet W1632UV wide-format flatbed inkjet printer — were top performers in their respective product categories.

In the packaging area, attendees were able to learn about the PlateRite FX Series flexo plate-making units and 4,800 dpi Flexo Dot screening technology for flexible packaging, corrugated, bag, tag and label printing. The open houses also showcased Screen’s EQUIOS universal workflow, Truepress inks and color management tools, in addition to third-party finishing equipment.

“Attendees were very impressed by the demonstrations and print samples they saw,” said Sean Dawson, product manager for large format and workflow. “The open houses showed that Screen inkjet printing systems and associated technologies offer substantial advantages when it comes to quality, cost and productivity.”
