Heidelberg at EcoPrint in Berlin

Press release from the issuing company

On September 26 and 27, at the first ever EcoPrint environment trade show ( www.ecoprintshow.com) in Berlin, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) will be informing about its solutions for eco-friendly print production at Booth 3-330 in Hall 3.

Sustainability is a key feature of all Heidelberg solutions and developing environmentally friendly and energy-efficient printing presses is at the top of the company's agenda. By reducing paper waste, general waste, energy consumption, and emissions to a minimum, Heidelberg enables customers to run their production on a cost-effective and environmentally sound basis. "Think economically, print ecologically" is the motto it applies to all its solutions.

Many of the innovations Heidelberg showcased at drupa 2012 are geared towards improving print shops' green credentials. The company is carrying forward this theme at EcoPrint and will be offering visitors all the information they need. The innovations in ecology and sustainability on show at drupa will also be presented at EcoPrint. These include, for example, a consulting program designed to improve the energy efficiency of print shops and the Saphira Eco product line of ecological consumables. Heidelberg will also be focusing on the full spectrum of green printing - from the efficient use of resources and energy through to CO2-neutral printing on CO2-neutral presses.

"Most print shops today are faced with ever greater demands from customers for ecological production and, as a result, there is a lot of new information they need to seek out. That's why Heidelberg is using EcoPrint as an opportunity to advertise and showcase how ecology and cost efficiency go hand in hand in printing processes. First and foremost, we are interested in talking to printers and print buyers, and our experts will be on hand to raise the profile of sustainable printing by providing comprehensive information," says Harald Woerner, Product Manager for Sustainability at Heidelberg.
