Aleyant Systems and Palmart Announce MIS / Storefront Integration

Press release from the issuing company

Aleyant Systems, an innovative leader in providing robust software services to the graphic communications industry at value-driven prices, and Palmart, a leading provider of print MIS solutions for the graphic arts industry in Spain, today announced a unique integration between Aleyant’s Pressero web-to-print solution and Palmart, a print MIS and production automation solution. This integration synchronizes information received when orders are placed in the Pressero online storefront with the Palmart MIS system, ensuring that each order is processed quickly, efficiently and with as little human intervention as possible.

“We are pleased to be working with Spain’s leading print MIS provider to deliver this invaluable integration to the Spanish market,” said Greg Salzman, Aleyant’s President. “Palmart’s estimating module is completely integrated with Pressero, and is able to automatically update web storefront pricing from the MIS system. This means that pricing only needs to be entered once and is synchronized between the two systems to prevent pricing errors.  We believe this is a very unique capability in the print MIS and web to print market.”

A properly implemented print MIS solution generates and manages a wide range of business and production information, including costing, estimating, customer information, production status and more. When a customer-facing web-to-print solution is added to the configuration, pricing tables and other information are often duplicated within the customer-facing web solution, with each system needing a separate update as factors change. In the Aleyant/Palmart integration, Pressero, a cloud-based application, actually becomes a module of Palmart, with bi-directional native access to the data hosted within each system. If a pricing change occurs, it is automatically and immediately fed by Palmart to Pressero, ensuring that all pricing is current and accurate.

In addition, data collected from the shop floor will display full job status information to operators within the plant, passing data to Pressero to provide appropriate customer-facing status information. When an order is placed through the Pressero storefront, Palmart is able to extract all relevant job and customer information to streamline the various management and administrative tasks associated with completing the job, including stock control, purchase orders, invoices and shipping information. Palmart also manages all files attached to the order within Pressero, including files uploaded by the client as well as files generated by Pressero. This includes the ability to direct files to hot folders for automated processing.

“Aleyant Systems is an excellent partner for Palmart,” said Francisco Pérez, CEO of Palmart. “The addition of Pressero as an integrated module within Palmart provides added value to our clients, who must increasingly produce a growing number of smaller jobs with fast turnaround.  Working with Aleyant Systems, we believe we have been able to bring an innovative solution to the Spanish graphic arts market that will help our clients not only be more efficient, but position them well for future growth.”
