SOURCECORP and Standard Register Announce Healthcare Provider Strategic Alliance

Press release from the issuing company

DALLAS, Feb. 24 -- SOURCECORP a leading provider of business process outsourcing solutions and Standard Register a leading provider of information solutions, announce the launch of a major joint initiative. This initiative is targeted at the hospital marketplace with the goal of improving the cumbersome, error-prone tasks associated with patient records information capture, storage and retrieval. This strategic initiative combines offerings of each company to streamline current processes, enabling healthcare clients to realize greater work efficiencies, decrease error rates, increase productivity and quality, and improve compliance with government and industry regulations. "Valuable and private patient data requires precious handling. Patient data needs to be held securely, while remaining easily accessible to all caregivers," stated Standard Register Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Peter A. Dorsman. "For decades, Standard Register has assisted healthcare providers in creating documents to better manage patient information and care. This alliance will broaden our capability to address their needs and significantly improve the way healthcare providers manage information." SOURCECORP will capture medical records information and digitally store it on the company's proprietary Web-based repository FASTRIEVE(TM). Authorized users will be able to electronically search and rapidly retrieve patient's digital files -- anytime, anywhere. When used with Standard Register's Patient Link-Up Enterprise (PLUE), an electronic output management solution, users will be able to send data to appropriate printers, faxes and PCs. PLUE will deliver hard copies, electronic forms and e-mail messages in the exact format needed by users. "Standard Register's PLUE, in tandem with SOURCECORP's secure data capture and FASTRIEVE image repository, offers authorized doctors, nurses and other caregivers secure access to patient data from any authorized workstation," said Kerry Walbridge, president, SOURCECORP's Business Process Outsourcing Division. "This combination of offerings gives healthcare providers the tools and services necessary to convert multiple information and data formats into a single, common data source to easily access patient records. We are pleased to add Standard Register as a complement to our nation-wide direct sales channel."
