Three Intec HPP500 Installations in America

Press release from the issuing company

The United States has been quick to appreciate the benefits of Intec heavy stock printers with installations stretching three thousand miles from Florida on the east to Oregon on the west coast.

It hasn’t taken long for L’Oreal and PGA mailing campaigns to be produced using this fast and efficient technology.

The leading global beauty brand commissioned Postcard Services in Tampa, Florida to produce 2,000 gift certificate envelopes for distribution at its salons and these were duly printed on its Intec HPP500 envelope printer.

The Professional Golfers Association wanted 3,000 colour envelopes to send to its members.

“We usually produce postcards for our clients but since installing the Intec HPP500 we are able to offer colour envelopes, which are more high end and don’t get lost in the shuffle,” explains Kevin Young, Customer Services Representative and Graphics Specialist at Postcard Services in Tampa. “I recommend the Intec HPP500,” he concludes.

Postcard Services, which “prints envelopes, uses variable data and solid images”, has been trading for seven years.

It employs 12 staff and looks after 15,000 customers, which includes UBS, the US banking and financial services group.

Meanwhile  record donations have been achieved by a charity following a successful mailing campaign produced on an Intec envelope printer.

Mail Processing Associates (MPA) in Lakeland, Central Florida printed hundreds of envelopes on an Intec HPP500 for Evans Fight, a diabetes charity in Florida.

“A little kid with diabetes had drawn a picture and spilt some water on it,” explains Robbie Yelvington, owner of MPA. “I wanted to use that picture on the envelope because the

biggest challenge is getting the envelope opened and I felt that this could work. “We then used variable data software to put a handwritten address along with the picture on each envelope. The result

was an awesome success.”

He adds: “Purchasing the Intec has enabled us to offer more services such as heavy stock business card and menu printing. Since advertising the fact that we now own this versatile new machine not a day goes by when we’re not running something on it.”

MPA is a full service letter shop, which processes mail for 100 customers ranging from small businesses through to Fortune 500 companies such as Marriott International, Inc., the global hotel operator. MPA currently employs 20 staff although it plans to take on a further 10 people when it completes an acquisition currently in process.

And finally Mike O’Rourke, owner of More Ink in Albany, Oregon, uses his Intec HPP550 PRO to do jobs that his Heidelberg cannot.

“It is wasteful and inefficient to print number 10 two colour envelopes on a Heidelberg,” he says, adding that his Intec HPP500 PRO “does them very well”.

Mike, who is keen to point out that he “loves” his Heidelberg, says that any of its shortcomings are fulfilled by his Intec. “I also use my HPP500 PRO to print really awkward brochures, one was 11 inches x 34 inches and it did an amazing job on it.

“I have been so happy with my Intec HPP500 PRO that I have recommended it to someone, who is in the process of buying their own,” Mike concludes.

Mike O’Rourke, who has been trading for 20 years, employs six staff and looks after 400 customers. “I’ve printed for most of this small city at some point,” he says.
