Press release from the issuing company

If you’re a professional that purchases, designs for, or markets with print and other media, then you’ve got more reasons than ever to attend the 7th Annual Print & Media Conference ( http://www.printbuyersinternational.com/2012-print-and-media-conference/ ) in October.

This all-new, not-to-be-missed event, produced by Margie Dana and Print Buyers International, will connect you with the world’s leading trends and foremost experts in printing, digital printing, sustainability, photography, specialty graphics, and more.

Co-located at the industry’s largest trade show and conference, Graph Expo (http://www.graphexpo.com) , the Print & Media Conference will open at McCormick Place on Monday, October 8th, with a first-ever Color Management Workshop from 9 am till noon, led by graphic arts visionary and Sappi Fine Paper North American ETC Print & Creative ManagerDaniel Dejan. A charismatic speaker who transfixes audiences with his blend of knowledge, experience and wit, Dejan will offer new ways to face the challenges of color management in this special 3-hour program.

The Conference “proper” kicks off on Tuesday, October 9th, with a high-energy address by Andrew Davis on The Future of Digital Is Print. Chief Strategy Officer and Co-Founder of Tippingpoint Labs, Davis will offer eye-opening insights on the role of print in the digital world during this breakfast presentation.

A second keynote address will ensue on Wednesday, October 10th, when the world’s leading digital printing expert, RIT Professor Emeritus Frank Romano, opens the day with a presentation about The New Digital Printing Landscape. A masterful speaker and educator, a prolific writer and publisher, and a living legend who has dedicated more than 50 years to the printing and publishing industries, Romano will take listeners behind the scenes to explain the major digital presses and how they differ.

The Print & Media Conference will offer 16 educational sessions in all, each led by an expert speaker on a subject you need to know about, such as:

·       Standard #5: Special Effects & Finishing Techniques with Daniel Dejan
·       10 Ways to Green Your Paper with Phillip Riebel
·       Using Adobe Creative Suite for Multi-Purpose File Prep with Taz Tally
·       The World of Specialty Graphics – and How to Navigate It with Dan Marx
·       Max Mail: The Secrets to Postal Efficiencies with Ben Madril

Sweetening the schedule even further will be a Printer Panel to discuss Common Industry Practices, a Print Buyer Panel to examine how to interpret a printer’s equipment list, and two interactive Brainstorming Sessions led by Dana. Enjoy complimentary access to the Graph Expo show floor throughout the Print & Media Conference, and take advantage of significant savings at over 30 leading Chicago hotels when you register.

“I believe the 2012 Annual Print & Media Conference will once again be the most important provider of information and education for people who use or influence the use of print and other media,” comments Dana. “The quality of the Conference speakers is unparalleled, and the value of the educational programming is unsurpassed. If you’re a person who purchases, designs for or markets with print and other media, you can’t afford to miss this chance to prepare for the future and learn from the best minds in the industry today.”
