Pitney Bowes Announces drupa Success

Press release from the issuing company

Pitney Bowes has reported a highly successful drupa 2012, with interest and signed deals across its entire portfolio of customer communication management technology.

The showcase Düsseldorf event attracted buyers from across the globe and this international audience was reflected in attendance at the Pitney Bowes stand and resulting business.

Significant deals were signed, including a sortation deal with a Turkish-based courier company, the first sale of a Pitney Bowes IntelliJet™ 20 Printing System into Mexico, and a deal for insertion hardware and workflow software with a Swiss business process and IT outsourcing firm.

Gareth Stoten, Vice President Sales, Document Messaging Technologies Europe, Pitney Bowes, comments: “We were delighted to close over $6million of business at drupa 2012.  In fact, the interest in our end-to-end customer communications management solutions was such that we expect to close substantial incremental business from projects generated or escalated at drupa.”

Pitney Bowes’ live White Paper Factory™ centrepiece saw key elements of its technology and software portfolio integrated to drive highly personalised, full colour transactional applications.

Christoph Stehmann, Vice President, Document Messaging Technologies Europe, Pitney Bowes, adds: “drupa gave us the perfect opportunity to display the broad-reaching benefits of the White Paper Factory approach. We were able to demonstrate the quality and efficiency of the technology and, crucially, the resulting benefits to customers.  Interest was high throughout the show and we now have the very welcome task of following up leads and engaging interested parties in further discussion.”
