CGS / LDI to Hold Special Preview Event

Press release from the issuing company

On Tuesday, June 5th, CGS and sales partner LDI Color Toolbox will hold a special preview event for brand managers and package design professionals. “Optimize Your Time to Market” will be held at the LDI facility in Manhattan, 1500 Broadway, 10th Floor, at 3:00PM.

The event will feature three new products that have created a stir in the package design world. An animated version of the event invitation—created with CGS’ new RealVue 3D Packager application—can be seen on YouTube.

RealVue 3D Packager is a revolutionary approach to packaging visualization and collaboration. Using die line data from Adobe Illustrator or CAD applications, the software allows a designer to easily create 360° simulations of complex package folding and special effects like varnish, metallic and iridescent finishes, embossing, and cut-outs. Once the design is complete, virtual prototypes can easily be emailed to brand managers and other stakeholders, opened in Web browsers with animated viewing, rotation, annotations and approval tools.

ORIS Aproove is a secure, Web-based collaboration and approval system, providing real-time interactive mark-up and communication across multiple sites. By adding Aproove to the workflow, package designers and brand managers can slash time and costs normally associated with multiple rounds of review and approval.

ORIS Color Tuner // Web and the Roland VersaCamm and LEC devices allow designers to create certified, color-accurate packaging prototypes easily and inexpensively. Even difficult spot colors, metallics and white on special substrates are handled with extreme color accuracy—at a fraction of the cost of conventional prototypes. CGS will also announce some exciting news regarding specialized color management and extended gamut inks for these packaging specific devices.

To RSVP for the event, and register to win a new Apple iPad, email or call Shawn Lowe at [email protected] or (201) 981-4112.
