Tuesday, May 22, 2012

Press release from the issuing company

At the biggest event in the sphere of printing – DRUPA 2012 – SUN Innovations has presented the new UV-LED printer, concluded almost two dozens of deals and expanded its presence in the world.

“It’s not the first DRUPA for our company, – says CEO of SUN Innovations Ivan Blagodyr. – In 2008 the company showed off its own wide-format printer NEO UV-LED Evolution. It was the first in the world printer based on the UV-LED technology. SUN was the first company to find a solution of how to replace the mercury lamps by more safe and energy efficient LEDs.  This time we also brought to DRUPA a novelty: fast UV-LED printer Turbospeed. It is a very good proposal for outdoor advertising and more”.

The new SUN printer is able to print up to 100 sqm per hour or even more (on the roll materials). Thanks to unique properties of SUN’s nano inks images can be printed directly on the different kind of surfaces: glass, plastic, wood, banner etc.

SUN Innovations brought to DRUPA lots of novelties, including inks with special properties – with high electrical conductivity, antibacterial effect, for ceramics. It also presented SUN Service with technical support for any kind of large-format printers and R&D as a new business line.

Some things that were presented at the SUN Innovations’ booth you could hardly find elsewhere at DRUPA. These are printing on the most incredible surfaces such as water or beer, and raised printing. The huge number of samples was printed with the volume up to 6 mm. With SUN’ inks it is possible not only to raise image getting an imitation of brush strokes, for example, but also to make such printing resistant.

Even arts today demand the nanotechnologies! At the SUN Innovations booth paintings of Famous Russian artist Aleksey Karaev were presented. His paintings are printed on the SUN’s printer with use of inks with quantum dots (nano particles of metal). Because of quantum dots these inks shine brightly over the UV-light.

Two DRUPA weeks accommodated a lot of events, visitors and business negotiations. SUN Innovations has concluded a big number of deals and managed to expand its presence in the world. The new representatives of SUN will appear at least in North America and Canada.

“DRUPA is an outstanding event for the printing sphere of all world, – believes the Marketing and Business Development Director of SUN Alexander Radchenko. – The big amount of visitors is not always a guaranty to succeed at exhibition. But here at DRUPA people clearly understand what they want”.
