PIAG President to Retire, Letter from Rachel Ann Shattah

Press release from the issuing company

9/4/08 - Following is a letter from Rachel Ann about her future retirement. We at WhatTheyThink.com wish her the best.

Dear PIAG Members and Friends,

First off, I want to express my heart-felt appreciation for the privilege of serving PIAG members for the last thirty-two years. Time flies when you are having fun!

And secondly, I am pleased and excited to announce my retirement.

The PIAG Board has graciously approved a succession plan during the August Board meeting that I previously submitted to them in July. Not wanting to wait until I am closer to retirement, and giving this considerable thought, my goal was to put together a plan that would benefit both the PIAG Members as well as PIAG.

PIAG is a significant part of my career and, as most of you know, my life. I will continue in the role of President/CEO of PIAG until a new President has been brought on board. An Executive Search Committee was appointed by the Board to start the search for a new President. I will finish my PIAG career focused on membership and member services. I can’t imagine a better way to spend my final working years at PIAG.

I want to give a special and sincere thank you to everyone that has and continues to contribute their time and talent to insure PIAG’s success. Your tireless efforts and talents help hundreds of companies, and thousands of individuals, succeed in this great industry of PRINT and IMAGING.

I am honored and feel blessed to have been given the opportunity to work closely with the Board, the PIAG staff, and so many of you. Some of you joined PIAG with hesitation (kicking and screaming). Today you often share how your participation has made a significant, positive impact in your company’s and your professional success.

I look forward to completing my career doing what has been my greatest love: working with members and helping them solve their problems. I look forward to being an Ambassador for PIAG for many years to come.

As always, I ask for your continued support and participation to insure that PIAG continues to be a first–class, relevant trade association. Give me a call or send me an email if you have any questions or comments. You can reach me on my direct line 678.816.1165 or by email at [email protected].
