Rapida 106 Duo for Koffy Print

Press release from the issuing company

KBA has booked an order at Drupa from Koffy Print, a packaging enterprise based in Chekhov, 60km (37½ miles) from Moscow, for two Rapida 106 presses. Both will be configured as eight-colour perfectors plus coaters to suit the company's job structure. The two presses will print commercial products in four-colour perfecting mode, switching to four-backing-one with coating to print food packaging for fast-food chains, and straight mode to print labels with up to eight colours and a coating for major confectionary manufacturers.

Koffy Print's association with KBA began in 2007 at the Polygraphinter trade fair in Moscow. At that time the company ordered a six-colour Rapida 106 plus coater which replaced a non-KBA press. The first of the two eight-colour Rapida 106s will be installed in October, the second next year. This one will replace the Rapida from 2007.

The two new presses will substantially enlarge Koffy Print's production capacity. The world makeready champion's sheet format of 740 x 1060mm (29.31 x 41.73in) is also ideal for printing labels.
