Stega Tisak Switches to Rapida Technology

Press release from the issuing company

The Rapida 105 is fast becoming a bestseller at this year's Drupa. Croatian commercial and book printer Stega Tisak in Zagreb has also opted at the show for this versatile B1 (41in) press, which offers the best value for money in its class. It is the company's first KBA sheetfed offset press.

As well as books Stega Tisak prints short-run magazines for the fashion industry and for manufacturers of luxury goods such as watches. It also prints catalogues, brochures, planners and other commercial products. At present it has two medium-format presses, one of which is a two-over-two perfector. This will be replaced in August by the five-colour Rapida 105 coater press, which will be equipped with automatic plate changers, CleanTronic washing systems, central ink pumping and QualiTronic inline colour control. Within the next six to twelve months the second press will also be replaced by a Rapida.

What prompted the two managing directors, Nenad Bozic and Marko Stritof, to award a contract for the 105 was an invitation from KBA-Mödling to the pre-Drupa event in Radebeul. Even though neither was able to attend, a contract soon followed. Both men consider the Rapida 105 to be the most productive and advanced press of its type on the market. With it they are aiming to boost output still further and hone their competitive edge by offering customers quality excellence based on inline control.
