PSDA hosts the Printers & Suppliers Executive Conference

Press release from the issuing company

Alexandria, VA – September 3, 2008– Every year, the Print Services & Distribution Association (PSDA) hosts the Printers & Suppliers Executive Conference to advance the education and networking opportunities for trade printers and industry suppliers. The event, typically held during the summer, has been moved this year to co-locate with PSDA's Print Solutions Conference & Expo. The move is expected to increase the value for industry executives who largely support the national show each October.

"Co-locating these events is just good business sense," said Mike Pramstaller, CAE, vice president of meetings for PSDA. "We have close to 300 trade printers and suppliers exhibiting in the Print Solutions Conference & Expo each year, sending a majority of their executive team and top sales staff. By co-locating the Printers & Suppliers Executive Conference with this show, we allow them and their staff to attend both shows while cutting out the extra time out of the office and expense of traveling to a separate location earlier in the year."

The Printers & Suppliers Executive Conference education is designed to arm companies with the tools they need to survive as more distributors position themselves as full-service marketing solutions providers. Sessions include: Getting the Word Out – how you can make and sustain a brand that supports progressive distributors without alienating your company from traditional print resellers, by Joel Warady; Your Strategic Options – understanding what traditional distributors expect from their printing partners and learning how to brand your business to promote your company's position, by Ivars Sarkans; and Laying the Ground Work to Acquiring New Accounts – how to survive in an industry of change, by Casey Campbell.

The educational track for printers and suppliers will run concurrently with the conference education sessions to avoid conflicting with show hours and booth set up.  Printer & supplier executives electing to participate in this educational track also receive full access to other conference education sessions, networking receptions and the keynote address by Charlie Pesko of InfoTrends. The events will be held on October 23-25 at the Baltimore Convention Center.  Registration is currently open.
