Robert A. Mason Named Intelligencer Printing Chief Executive Officer

Intelligencer Printing Company, Lancaster, Pa., has announced the appointment of Robert A. Mason of Overland Park, Kansas, as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer, effective May 29, 2012. Mason previously served as Vice President, Sales and Print Management, Tidewater Direct LLC, Overland Park, Kansas.

“With the help of the NAPL Business Advisory Group, which provided strategic advice during an exhaustive nationwide search that looked at candidates from California to Florida, we were able to find an executive who we believe will ably lead Intelligencer’s continued growth and expansion during this time of challenging industry change,” said Dennis A. Getz, Vice Chairman of Intelligencer’s Board of Directors.

“Robert brings not only a knowledge of direct marketing at the highest level, but a strong background in production and finance, all of which will stand him in good stead as he guides Intelligencer’s ongoing transformation to a multi-media print and marketing organization,” said Getz. “His vision for the company’s future and dedication to excellence in every area of operations will enable Intelligencer to move forward confidently and successfully into new service areas while maintaining its long tradition of innovation and excellence.”

A graduate of Elizabethtown College in Pennsylvania, Mason holds an M.B.A. degree from Loyola University. Prior to his position at Tidewater Direct, he served as President, IMS Division, Protocol Global  Solutions, Kansas City, Mo.  He previously served in various positions with Harte-Hanks, including Director of Operations (Kansas City, Mo.), Director of Client Services (Glen Burnie, Md.), and Senior Marketing Manager (Baltimore, Md.).
