Aleyant Systems Turns to Industry Experts for Advice

Press release from the issuing company

Aleyant Systems, an innovative leader in providing robust software services to the graphic communications industry at value-driven prices, has established an Advisory Board comprised of three well-know industry experts to assist the company in development of business strategies designed to spur business growth and innovative thinking. The initial advisory board will consist of Jim Kano, Robin Tobin and Chuck Gehman.

“We are pleased with the progress we have made as a company and the innovation we have been able to bring to the market to date,” said Greg Salzman, Aleyant’s President. “Establishment of this Advisory Board is the next logical step in propelling our company to new levels of innovation and achievement. All three members bring deep domain expertise, an understanding of industry trends and issues, and are in a terrific position to springboard Aleyant into a new future servicing the emerging needs of our present and future customers. In a dynamic marketplace such as we see today, change is rapid, and we believe soliciting outside views from experts of this quality will benefit us and our customers as we set our path forward.”

Introducing the Aleyant Advisory Board
The initial Aleyant Expert Advisory Board will consist of:

Jim Kano: A strategic thinking, leadership focused, and results oriented global technology sales and marketing executive with an accomplished track record of achieving accelerated revenue growth in the IT Software and Hardware, Enterprise Business Intelligence & Analytics SW and services markets. In his 20+ years of industry experience, Kano has successfully led global sales and marketing organizations to next level growth and market penetration. He is an expert at developing, managing and optimizing direct/channel sales, product & outbound marketing (web, demand generation) and product management organizations. Kano has managed multi-million dollar P&L’s, worked with organizations to establish a formal sales process and effective sales compensation plans, and managed global strategic accounts and sales operations. Over the past 10 years, Kano held executive sales and marketing positions at Equitrac and EFI, achieving strong results in revenue and market share growth during his tenure with these companies.

Robin Tobin. Known for her unique ability to balance strategic business thinking, a creative and leading-edge marketing approach, and engagement with partners and communities, Robin develops and delivers solid plans and programs that drive revenue, increase market share, grow customer loyalty, and build community. As Principal and Executive Vice-President of Business Development & Relationship Management at Trekk, Robin Tobin leads the business development and account management efforts for key accounts and prospects worldwide.  Prior to Trekk, Tobin was a Principal Manager at Adobe where she was responsible for print, publishing, and packaging marketing.  In her 13 year tenure at Adobe, she drove adoption of the creative and print solutions and deepened Adobe’s relationships throughout the print industry globally.

Robin has many talents and skills to bring to the Aleyant Advisory Board, including more than 25 years experience in business analysis, planning, and development; strategic and tactical marketing; integrated multichannel marketing; loyalty program development and expansion; and strategic alliance, partner and community relationship management.

Chuck Gehman.   A leader of a team building state of the art, visually rich internet systems to enable creation, use and sale of digital documents. In his current role, Gehman is also an Aleyant customer and his company has already benefited from combining his expertise with that of the Aleyant team. This uniquely positions Gehman to bring a deep understanding of Aleyant technologies and the expertise that can be leveraged to bring the next generation of web solutions to market. Gehman believes that product strategy starts with the customer experience, and works backward from there into technology implementation. This approach has served Gehman well in his 15 years of experience across a broad swath of technologies affecting the printing and publishing industries. Gehman is currently a Vice President at Mimeo.com.

Gehman will bring his inherent creativity, passion, and attention to detail and processes to his role on the Aleyant Advisory board. He understands that determining what customers need is not always based on what they tell you, but listening to them is the best place to start, and application of an understanding of technology and a spirit of innovation are what take the solutions to the next level.

“We are thrilled that this team has agreed to work with us at Aleyant,” added Salzman. “We have high expectations for the results we can bring to the market through the engagement of our new Advisory Board.”
