Today, during the drupa 2012 graphic arts tradeshow,PrimaGraphia Group signed an agreement to purchase new HP Indigo 7500 and 5600 Digital Presses.

The Jakarta, Indonesia-based print service provider (PSP) also agreed to serve as a beta user for the HP Indigo 10000, the first B2-format HP Indigo digital press.

The new solutions will extend PrimaGraphia’s competitive advantage as one of Indonesia’s leading digital printing providers. Combined with its five current HP Indigo digital presses, the high-productivity features of the 7500, 5600 and 10000 presses will help PrimaGraphia compete against analog, offset PSPs by providing longer-run, high-quality printing with fast turnaround times and low costs. 

• The HP Indigo 7500 prints up to 120 four-color, A4 pages per minute (ppm) and is ideal for short- to medium-run jobs as well as high-value applications, such as variable-data-driven marketing collateral, photo books and personalized direct mail.  The press offers improved color consistency, as well as Intelligent Automation features for better productivity, calibration and troubleshooting.⁽¹⁾ A new, optional upgrade for the press increases its full-color speed to 160 A4 ppm using HP’s Enhanced Productivity Mode (EPM). Other upgrades include automatic, real-time detection of print defects and special raised print, textured effect and embossing features.
• The new HP Indigo 5600, an enhanced version of the best-selling 5500 model, helps PSPs pursue a greater range of applications. PSPs can reduce the cost of color printing using the press’ EPM feature to print 33 percent faster than the 5500 model at speeds up to 90 color, A4 ppm. The HP Indigo 5600 also has a “one-shot” mode for printing on synthetic substrates, which helps PSPs pursue new business opportunities producing loyalty program cards, gift cards and other products.
• The HP Indigo 10000, a B2-size (750 x 340 millimeters / 29.5 x 20.9 inches) sheet-fed digital press, brings true offset-quality digital printing to a format that supports more than 98 percent of commercial printing jobs. Available in early 2013, it prints up to 4,600 color sheets per hour using EPM. The press is built for larger production volumes, offering fewer interruptions per shift with its one meter (33 inch) pallet feeder and two 7,500-sheet capacity drawer feeders. Advanced, closed-loop quality control systems with registration cameras, an in-line spectrophotometer and HP Vision System technology deliver higher-quality imaging.⁽²⁾
