Engas Orders Third Rapida 105

Press release from the issuing company

At Drupa vice-president Stanislaw Mol placed an order for a third Rapida 105 from KBA. This, too, will be a six-colour version with coater. It will also have an extended delivery, a board-handling capability, automatic plate changing, ErgoTronic ACR register measurement and DensiTronic Professional colour control. Provision has been made to add optional QualiTronic inline colour control and a cold-foil module at a later date.

A key consideration for Stanislaw Mol was that the Rapida 105 incorporates a lot of technical details from the Rapida 106, for example relating to sheet transfer and the inking unit. The new model’s outstanding value for money also played a major role. It is scheduled for installation in a new production hall in September. Once it has come on stream the two other presses will be relocated to the new hall. In the process they will be upgraded so that they can be connected to the new press line’s DensiTronic Professional system.

The third Rapida 105 will have a maximum rated output of 16,000sph. Engas, which makes packaging for the food-processing and household goods industries, is adding the press to enhance its firepower and advance the standard of its technology.
