Contex Return to Sales Distribution Model

Press release from the issuing company

Contex, the world's leading developer of wide format scanning and imaging solutions, today announces its return to a true sales distribution model, upon which the company built its success. The distribution model is based on strong partnerships with leading distributors that specialize not only in wide format but also in fine arts, document management, IT services, and other related industries. A sales distribution model will enable a larger audience to benefit from Contex's wide format scanning product line, including the newest HD Ultra and SD MFP series. These new devices have already received a Reader's Choice Top Product Award from Wide Format Imaging and high honors from Buyers Laboratory (BLI), an independent equipment testing lab.

Returning to its original sales distribution model gives Contex Americas greater flexibility for responding to customers' needs. Customers will also be able to receive next-day delivery of scanners, as distributors' warehouses are located throughout the United States. The distributors will be supported by Contex's regional sales managers Ed Delaney and Michael McMillian, representing the East and West coasts, respectively.

"Our new sales strategy eliminates costly overhead while adding value to the customer's experience," states Steve Blanken, General Manager, Contex Americas. "Working exclusively with our distribution channel, which is the strongest for the wide formatimaging and related markets, gives our customers a broad range of experts in their fields. Combined with our award-winning scanners, we have the opportunity to help grow their business exponentially."

Contex's products have been consistently successful due to their technological advancements. The HD Ultra, the market's most advanced wide format scanner, outputs images faster than any other scanner on the market. This is a significant boost for reprographic shops or offices with high-volume scanning projects whose productivity is measured by more than just inches per second, but finished scans per hour -- including the image scanned, cleaned, indexed, and stored.

Contex's printer-neutral MFPs allow customers to build all-in-one wide format devices to best meet their needs. Printer-agnostic, the Contex scanner integrates seamlessly into environments with various types of printers, including large and small format, LED, and inkjet.
