GPA announces that they are currently accepting entries for their 2012 Print and Design Contest until October 1, 2012. This year marks seventh year of the contest, continuing a tradition that recognizes excellence and creativity in printing. Each year the competition grows bigger and better, yielding new and innovative examples of the opportunities available with GPA substrates.

This year GPA is proud to announce the contest under its new name – the Print and Design Contest; it was formerly known as the Printed Sample Contest. This new namemore accurately reflects the scope and intent of the contest.
For a printed piece to be eligible, it must be from an actual job or promotion that was printed by a GPA customer on a qualified GPA substrate within the past year. There is no entry fee, and participants are encouraged to submit as many entries as they like.
 
Entries are accepted under six different categories:

• Ultra BakPlus & Ultra BakClassic Pressure Sensitive Papers
• Ultra Film Non-Adhesive Films
• Ultra Film Pressure Sensitive Films
• Ultra DigitalPapers
• Ultra Digital Pressure Sensitive Papers
• Ultra Digital Films

A panel of industry experts will judge each entry on uniqueness of design, applicationuse, quality of printing, and complexity of production. From each of the six categories, a Best of Category winner is selected, and then from those six, one entry is chosen as the Best of Show. Winners receive a framed copy of the winning piece, a monetary prize, and industry recognition. This year’s winners will be announced in October 2012.
