Xerox's Freedom to Print

Press release from the issuing company

Very few print shops rely on just one vendor for their printing needs. Yet every brand requires its own workflow and print instructions, contributing to complexity and bottlenecks.

Xerox’s new Freedom to Print eliminates the hassle of a multi-vendor environment and lets users run jobs efficiently and effectively to a number of different printers. This automated program establishes a common workflow to reliably send jobs to various devices in the shop – allowing users to maximize their entire fleet.

Debuting here this week at drupa 2012, Freedom to Print also gives printers new ways to:

  • Reduce costs – Choose the right press based on the economics of the job.
  • Improve asset utilization – Direct jobs to Xerox or non-Xerox systems while maintaining job and ticketing integrity. The solution simplifies workflows and improves delivery time.
  • Create once, send anywhere – Automation ensures that the job is only ticketed once and that all job attributes, including finishing are covered. There is no reformatting, additional operators or training needed, saving time and money.

Pricing and availability
The Xerox Freedom to Print solution will be available in the United States in June with a list price of $16,000 and is available globally in Q3.
