SAN JOSE, Calif.--Feb. 18, 2004-- Adobe Systems Incorporated today announced availability of Adobe PDF JobReady(TM) 1.6, the latest release of technology previously branded Adobe PDF Transit. Available as a Software Development Kit (SDK), Adobe PDF JobReady lets OEMs and systems integrators build desktop solutions that allow users to easily and reliably create print-ready Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files, and then send them directly to their favorite print shop via the Internet. Essential features in Adobe PDF JobReady 1.6 include: seamless one-click "print-ready" Adobe PDF creation from any authoring application based on pre-configured settings from the print provider, the ability to proof print jobs from the desktop, and secure 40-bit encryption file delivery.
