Ebsco Media Hires New National Sales Manager

EBSCO Media, a division of Birmingham, Alabama-based EBSCO Industries, is proud to welcome Newt Higman as National Sales Manager. Higman has 22 years in sales management and personal sales experience in office technology and IT services.  He will join EBSCO Media’s highly-talented communication service provider team to provide cutting edge and innovative marketing solutions to Alabama, the Southeast and beyond. Higman served 18 years with Ricoh/Lanier Business Solutions, most recently as Vice President of Ricoh Global Services for the Western US Region.  Since 2008, Higman has served as Senior Vice President of ASI Business Solutions in Dallas, Texas and President of Printwise Technologies in Birmingham, Alabama.

Higman brings a history of proven leadership in sales management, marketing and technology and looks forward to expanding EBSCO Media’s customer-centric solutions in commercial printing, data-driven marketing solutions, and variable data printing.

Newt, a graduate of Auburn University, and his wife Britt, have four sons, Zach (16), Jake (13), Reece (8) and Cole (5). The family attends the First United Methodist Church of Prattville. Newt is a steering committee member of the "Hope and Cope" Program at Children's Hospital of Alabama, a volunteer for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life in Autauga County, and is active in coaching Little League teams.

Regarding his appointment as National Sales Manager, Newt says, "My ultimate objective is to successfully lead EBSCO Media's expansion into new market opportunities, while improving the overall revenue and profit performance of the organization. I look forward to optimizing the current sales processes, strengthening our existing client relationships and achieving a world-class level of customer service excellence."
