PrintCity welcomes Herzog & Heymann to the fold

Press release from the issuing company

February 16, 2004 -- PrintCity, the strategic alliance of suppliers to the graphic arts industry, is pleased to announce that Herzog & Heymann GmbH & Co, the Germany-based expert in speciality folding solutions, has become a member of the organisation. Herzog & Heymann’s fellow folding technology supplier and majority shareholder, MBO Binder GmbH & Co. KG., is already a member of PrintCity. Within the graphic arts industry, Herzog & Heymann's expertise is in designing flexible speciality solutions for mailings, including cutting, perforating and gluing systems, and "tipping-on" products such as CDs, booklets and postcards to mailings. It also manufactures miniature folding solutions used mainly in the pharmaceuticals industry, and large folding systems for maps. The company's systems are distinguished by their flexibility towards customers' specific needs and the systems' capacity to be extended. MBO and Herzog & Heymann will be sharing a booth measuring 800 sq/m in PrintCity's Hall 6 at drupa 2004, where MBO's folding technology will play a key role in PrintCity's "PrintFactory" project. Roland Allgayer, Sales/PR of MBO said: "MBO's membership of PrintCity has proved to be of real benefits to our customers. The opportunity to work alongside other best-in-class companies, to share ideas and integrate systems, is crucial in helping to develop our customers' business. Herzog & Heymann now looks forward to passing on these same benefits to its customers." In welcoming Herzog & Heymann to PrintCity's Commercial Activity Group, Colin McMichael, the Group's Chairman, added: "Innovation is no longer considered a bonus in the world of mailing - it is now expected. Our customers are under constant pressure from their customers to give these mailing projects added impact, through creative folding techniques, and all kinds of different add-ons. "Herzog & Heymann excels in exactly these areas, and I know it will play a valuable role in current and future PrintCity projects."
