Van Son Hires a Wide Format Ink Specialist

Press release from the issuing company

Van Son Holland Ink Corporation, the leading global manufacturer of high performance printing inks, announced today the appointment of Tom Sheehan as wide format ink specialist—a newly created position designed to further increase support and accelerate growth of its new line of cost effective premium digital print inks. In his new role, Sheehan will be responsible for leading the strategy and execution of key business development and marketing initiatives in response to the growing wide format inkjet market. Recognizing the demand for an affordable inkjet line, Van Son also created this new role to offer one point of contact to support its clients on all related technical matters.

With extensive knowledge of the digital printing process, Sheehan brings more than 11 years of experience in wide format inkjet printing with a particular emphasis in the sign producing industry. Prior to joining Van Son, Sheehan worked for Signs by Tomorrow in Naperville, Ill., as a graphic designer and the organization’s graphics team leader. During his tenure at Signs by Tomorrow, Sheehan oversaw the team and led the department’s client service function by consulting with customers on their unique needs for commercial signage and graphic design. Additionally, Sheehan developed targeted regional sales and marketing campaigns to generate new leads and proactively grow his assigned territory.

"We welcome Tom to the Van Son team as he brings deep knowledge of the digital print industry and its customers, channels and applications,” said John Sammis, president of Van Son Ink. “Our launch of our digital ink line last September was in response to the demand in the marketplace for an efficient and economical alternative to major printer manufacturer’s ink. We believe that Tom’s experience and comprehensive knowledge will support our wide-format customers as they continue to grow.”
