The Allied Group Acquires United Printing

Press release from the issuing company

The Allied Group www.thealliedgrp.com a leading marketing communications and fulfillment services company based in Cranston, Rhode Island, announced today the acquisition of United Printing, a full-service, commercial printer based in Warwick, Rhode Island.

United Printing, a successful family owned and operated business led by President and CEO Raymond Amore and Vice President Barbara Caminito, has been a leading full-service, commercial printer offering sheet-fed printing and mailing for close to 70 years.

“We saw an excellent opportunity to join forces with another well-known and well-respected printer,” commented Robert C. Clement, CEO at The Allied Group.  “We have a progressive attitude and approach to growing our business which is critical to maintaining and increasing our relevance in the Rhode Island and New England marketplace. We must have the resources and manpower to provide the new technology that our clients demand. Actions like this play a large role toward accomplishing that strategic goal.”

United Printing is The Allied Group’s sixth acquisition since 2000. With this most recent acquisition, The Allied Group anticipates that its annual sales will top $22 million in 2012 and that the company will include 160 employees.

As a result of the acquisition, The Allied Group will add numerous new clients to its customer base as well as a large percentage of existing United Printing employees.

“We are confident that our existing customers will be well taken care of by The Allied Group and benefit from the same high quality products and exceptional customer service that they have been accustomed to receiving from United,” commented Barbara Carminito, Vice President of United Printing. “Also, they can take advantage of the wide range of additional products and services that Allied currently provides.”

The Allied Group continues to build award-winning marketing and fulfillment programs for leading national and New England based companies looking to attract, acquire and retain new business and/or contain, reduce, or remove cost from their business process.
