Apex Machine at drupa 2012

Press release from the issuing company

Apex Machine Company, based in Fort Lauderdale, is a specialist manufacturer of advanced, customized product handling and printing systems for three dimensional parts made from plastics, metals, and a range of other materials.

Established for nearly 110 years, the company will be introducing a new offset printing process - FlexApex, developed by Apex.  This process offers a cost effective, high speed, high density, high quality, multi-color print alternative to dry offset, silkscreen and rotary pad print (gravure) applications using solvent free inks.

In a marketplace which is increasingly demanding more frequent and shorter production runs, as customers minimize inventory, fast changeover between print runs is essential to minimise expensive downtime. Apex printing machines provide unrivalled speed of changeover, automatic offline plate registration, optional off-line auto wash up facilities and high quality multi-colour print.  Depending on product type and individual customer requirements, production rates of up to 2000 parts per minute are achievable in some cases

Apex printing systems are currently used to print all types of products from caps and closures; graduation marks on medical syringes, insulin pens, single dosage vials, catheters and blood tubes; pencils, pens, plastic and aluminium tubes (both rigid and squeeze), synthetic corks, food containers, razor handles, pill containers and coat hangers to name just a few. The company also makes special printing machines for overprinting range/item details onto folding cartons and boxes used for product packaging.

The company will have an information booth, at the American Pavilion in Hall 15 / A23-6, where trained personnel will be available to discuss this latest product and solutions with potential customers.

Further details can be obtained by contacting Apex Machine on +1 954 566 1572, by email at [email protected], or by visiting http://www.apexmachine.com.
