Autobond Set to Unveil New Products at drupa 2012

Press release from the issuing company

At drupa 2012 (3-16 May 2012, Düsseldorf) Autobond will be exhibiting a host of new technology, including a new high speed laminator and two LED inkjet spot UV machines on its stand (Hall 11, Stand A23), adding to its already extensive range of machinery designed to enhance and protect print.

Inkjet spot UV technology gets its drupa debut

Autobond’s highly anticipated inkjet spot UV technology will be demonstrated, including the acclaimed Mini 36 TPM-36 SUV, which was launched in May 2011. The innovative technology offers the ability to laminate and spot varnish in-line in the same pass, and in short runs. In addition, a new off-line inkjet spot UV machine will be launched (please see the press release ‘Autobond to launch new inkjet spot UV products at drupa 2012’, dated 2 March 2012 for further information’).

New high speed B1 laminator

Another machine set to be launched at drupa is the Mini 105 TPHS, a new high productivity thermal laminator. Capable of producing lamination on one side, or on two sides in one pass, the machine has an impressive maximum speed of 120 metres per minute (10,000 B1 landscape sheets per hour).

A laminator manufacturer from Derbyshire, England, Autobond has nearly 35 years of experience in the industry and at drupa 2012 the company will demonstrate why it is a leader in its field.  Autobond stays at the forefront of finishing innovation by developing technology that anticipates customer needs. John Gilmore, Managing Director of Autobond, explains: “Some of our best product ideas have come from customers saying ‘if only there was a machine that did that’. We develop machines that solve problems by answering those ‘if only’ questions.”

Autobond’s sleek yet robust technology enables high levels of productivity and delivers a powerful return on investment. Gilmore says: “The main thing any customer in this industry wants to see is a solid return on investment. At Autobond, we believe quality and longevity are features of our machinery that are valued by our customers just as much as they value our reliable components.  When money’s tight, you want to be sure you’re making a sound investment that isn’t going to cost you thousands in maintenance or be replaced. Investing in an Autobond machine means that you’re most likely to have the same machine still running in twenty years time.”

Autobond’s range of finishing technology, which includes products for lamination, encapsulation, spot UV coating and UV varnishing, will show visitors just how they can increase their productivity, cut operating costs and most importantly, set themselves apart.

“Adding an Autobond machine enables customers to add new service offerings without breaking the bank. That helps them to grow their business,” says Gilmore. “Our machines have that build quality, reliability, and longevity that keeps customers coming back, and attracts new customers. That, together with the high level of automation in our machines, means that we offer our customers a realistic chance to become a more successful business.”
