The Best of the Best were recognized at the PIASC Graphics Night and its celebration of the Power of Print. Janet Green, PIASC Public Relations Chair, presented the 8th Annual Regional Print Excellence Awards to those companies that captured Best of Show, Best of Division and Best of Category. 

Over three-hundred industry members and guests enjoyed a lively cocktail reception, featuring live Jazz. Guests leisurely walked the winners' exhibit consisting of hundreds of colorful and intricate pieces for all to enjoy. But that was not all, also during the reception, guests were thrilled to be part of the new "People's Choice Award" and happily submitted their vote for their favorite piece -- that piece -- the one that captured their attention and felt it to be worthy of receiving recognition. 

The Majestic Ballroom opened around 6:30 pm welcoming guests with live music and huge screens, displaying the logos of the sponsors as well as thanking them for making Graphics Night possible with their contributions. The middle screen, however, featured black and white movie clips from the 40s where print played a leading role! 

After dinner, the program began with the presentation of the Executive of the Year Award to Don Burge, President of BurdgeCooper and the presentation of recipients of the Print Excellence Awards for Best of Show, Best of Division and Best of Category, as Urban Hirsch, III, Chairman of PIASC, presented them with stunning glass awards. 

All Best of Category winning entries are being submitted at no additional charge to PIA's National "Premier Print Awards" competition, also known as the Bennys. And, the winners of the Premier Print Awards will be announced at the 2012 Graph Expo Show in Chicago next October.
