NAPL Names Dean J. D'Ambrosi Senior Staff Director, Member Relations

PARAMUS, N.J., FEB. 10, 2004 – The National Association for Printing Leadership (NAPL) has named Dean J. D’Ambrosi senior staff director, Member Relations, effective immediately. In his new role, D’Ambrosi, who joined NAPL in 1996 and served most recently as senior staff director, Financial Services and chief financial officer, will oversee membership recruitment and retention initiatives. He will also have responsibility for maximizing the benefits of membership in the Association through the ongoing development of NAPL member services. D’Ambrosi reports to Joseph P. Truncale, NAPL president and CEO. “I have absolute confidence that Dean will leverage all of NAPL’s resources to carry out NAPL’s overriding objective of unparalleled service to its members,” said Truncale in making the announcement. “His outstanding record of service to the Association, coupled with his in-depth knowledge of the industry and the challenges facing our members, make him the perfect choice for this very important role.” Reporting to D’Ambrosi are Robin Schabacker, director/Membership; Scott McIntosh, manager/Information Systems; Frank DiPasqua and Diane Pollock, Member/Customer Relations associates; and part-time assistants Stacy Scarpa, Lorraine Scelzi, and Michelle Tobon. Assuming the position of NAPL controller is William Herrott, formerly senior financial analyst for the Association. Herrott’s tenure with NAPL began in 1986, when he joined the Association as lead staff consultant. He took a one-year hiatus in 2002 to assist in a printing company turnaround as chief financial officer, returning in 2003. As controller, Herrott reports directly to Truncale. About Dean D’Ambrosi: Joining NAPL in 1996 as assistant controller, D’Ambrosi was named controller of the Association later that year. He was promoted to director of finance and chief financial officer (CFO) in 2000, and to senior staff director, Financial Services, and CFO in 2002. He assumes his current position of senior staff director, Member Relations, effective immediately. Serving as the current president of the New Jersey Society of Association Executives (NJSAE), D’Ambrosi is a graduate of Monmouth College, where he earned degrees in Management and Finance.
