Danka Expands Board of Directors

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.--Feb. 10, 2004-- Danka Business Systems PLC today announced the appointment of Erik Vonk, chairman and chief executive officer of Gevity, as a non-executive director to Danka's board of directors. In this capacity he will serve on the Human Resources and Danka 21 board committees. This appointment brings the membership of Danka's board to ten. "Erik is another great addition to our board," said Lang Lowrey, Danka chairman and chief executive officer. "He brings international knowledge and experience in growing companies that will be very helpful to Danka as we enter the next phase of our turnaround. At Gevity he successfully transformed an under-performing business to a profitably growing industry leader which saw its stock price quintuple during the last 18 months." Following a successful career in banking and corporate finance in the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East, Mr. Vonk established and built the North American operations for Randstad, one of Europe's largest staffing companies. The company saw its revenues develop from $0 to $1.5 billion from 1992 to 1999. Mr. Vonk holds board membership positions with the Carter Center, Goizueta Business School at Emory University, and the Roosevelt Institute in Warm Springs. In addition he serves as Honorary Consul of the Netherlands for Georgia and South Carolina and is the author of "Don't Get a Job, Get a Life", a book about flexible employment and work/life balance.
