Roland Strengthens Sales and Product Management Teams

To better serve the company’s growing customer base and advance important strategic initiatives, Roland DGA Corp. has promoted several members of its sales and product management teams.  

“It is always a pleasure to recognize excellence from within the organization, and we congratulate all of our employees who have stepped into new expanded roles,” said Rick Scrimger, vice president of sales and marketing for Roland DGA Corp.  “Our sales and product management teams are now stronger than ever, and are well positioned to capitalize on new opportunities across regions and product lines.  We are also looking forward to exploring opportunities through e-commerce that will help us both build our sales and better support our customers in today’s on-demand world.”

Recent Roland sales and product management promotions are as follows:

Jaume Carrera, Regional Sales Engineer, South America  
Carrera’s new position places him in charge of servicing Roland’s inkjet, cutter and engraving sales channels across South America.  Carrera joined Roland DGA in 2007 and has held both field and sales engineering positions focused on the Latin American market.  Prior to joining Roland DGA, he worked for eight years with Roland Iberia, the company’s joint venture affiliate in Barcelona, Spain. He received a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications in 1997. 
 
Fernando Catania, Business Development Manager, Latin America
As Latin American business development manager, Catania is responsible for expanding Roland’s UV inkjet printing and dental product businesses in all areas of the region. Catania started at Roland in 1998, and has served in a variety of sales, technical and management positions, including most recently as a product manager for the company’s supplies and accessories line.  A frequent presenter at ISA, SGIA and NBM educational conferences, Catania graduated from California State University, Long Beach, with bachelor’s degrees in marketing and art.

Julie Gederos, Product Manager, E-Commerce, Supplies and Accessories 
In this role, Gederos is responsible for advancing the company’s e-commerce initiatives as well as developing Roland’s line of supplies and accessories across all product categories.  Gederos joined Roland in 2007, and has since served as marketing coordinator, focused on serving the end user base by implementing marketing strategies and programs and by establishing metrics for analyzing their success. Gederos holds a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from the University of Minnesota and a master’s degree of business administration from California State University, Fullerton.

Glenn Kennedy, Business Development Manager, Dental Solutions
As business development manager, Kennedy is responsible for building and managing a new channel of Roland 3D product resellers focused on the dental industry. Kennedy brings to the position more than 20 years of experience in product design, manufacturing and 3D CAD/CAM.  He joined Roland in 2004 as channel sales manager for 3D scanners and mills, and holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial design from California State University, San Jose.
 
Adam Sebran, Business Development Manager, Rotary Products
In this position, Sebran is responsible for channel development for Roland EGX engravers, MPX impact printers, MDX and JWX 3D milling machines and LPX 3D scanning devices. Sebran has more than 20 years of industry sales and management experience and most recently served as business development manager of engraving products for Roland.  Prior to joining Roland, Sebran was president and owner of Advanced Machine Tool Corp.  He also served as vice president of sales for ScanVec, Inc.
