Oce introduces PRISMAsatellite 1.1

Press release from the issuing company

Namur, Belgium, 3 February 2004—At Oce OpenHouse (16-20 February) in Poing, Germany, Océ will introduce the new Océ PRISMAsatellite 1.1, the output management system for transaction printing in non-IPDS environments. OpenHouse will spotlight this powerful software showing eight practical demonstrations, including one featuring Delta Lloyd insurance policies, with others focused on applications in two other market segments. Visitors are welcome to closely examine Océ PRISMAsatellite 1.1's intelligent process. This software release builds on the successful 1.0—unveiled only last year—now with more than 160 installations in operation worldwide. Océ PRISMAsatellite 1.1 features new, powerful functionality to streamline transaction processes even more. And further innovation will follow in fall 2004—with new versions specifically designed for office and PoD environments. Watch this software! Eight demonstrations at OpenHouse 2004 Featured prominently at OpenHouse, visitors can watch Océ PRISMAsatellite 1.1 processing Delta Lloyd documents. Insurance policies will be automatically sorted—and then printed on the high performance Océ VarioPrint 3090 cutsheet printer. Then viewers can see bills from the Industry & Trade market segment coming from SAP being printed. At the same time, these bills will be emailed to customers—and archived—for future reference. This is just one of the five solution lines powered by Océ PRISMAsatellite at this segment. Océ PRISMAsatellite 1.1 will also be featured in the demonstration area for Public Services & Education as well as the Océ PRISMA booth. Océ PRISMAsatellite 1.1 introduces economical e-form solutions Since its introduction last year, Océ PRISMAsatellite has proven that transaction document workflows can truly be automated. This intelligent software makes sure that documents are printed where they are needed, when they are needed, and in the form they are needed. With the new 1.1, users receive new, powerful functionality. For example, two new modules apply static electronic forms to print jobs: PDF FormMerge and PCL FormMerge. These value-for-money options offer an economical alternative to the full-fledged electronic form solutions that Océ PRISMAsatellite also supports. Enhanced printer support for the Océ VarioPrint 3090—and more Furthermore, this new release will have enhanced support for PCL printing on the Océ VarioPrint 3090, offering operators valuable functions like error-recovery and page-range printing. In combination with this printer, Océ PRISMAsatellite forms a powerful and productive combination for versatile cutsheet transaction printing. Also with the new 1.1, administrators can control the configuration from any PC on the network, using Microsoft Terminal Services. To conveniently access Océ PRISMAsatellite from any location. Exciting future developments Océ PRISMAsatellite developments continue. In fall 2004, new releases of Océ PRISMAsatellite will focus on office and PoD environments. On the office front, Océ PRISMAsatellite Office will provide users with direct access to cost-effective networked printers—and significantly "control hidden costs—with convenience". For Printing on Demand, Océ PRISMAsatellite PoD will enable efficient workflow management—to provide customers with "digital access to your document services". To increase volume in centralised environments and help reduce costs even more. These Océ "satellites" will support both Océ and non-Océ printers, to maximise the usage of current—and future—equipment investments.
