Neil Merchant at 2012 Xplor Conference

Press release from the issuing company

acadami, the transaction document educators, announced today that industry innovator Neil Merchant edp will be returning to Xplor's 2012 Conference and Vendor forum to publicly debut the acadami "Introduction to the Transaction Document Workflow" program.

Originally developed for one of the world's top ten banks, the ½ day program provides an overview of the transaction document workflow from data to doorstep. The bank has sent more than 50 attendees to the program in the last year, and because the program has been so successful, plans to send another 100 attendees over the coming two years.

Neil Merchant, edp

Neil was instrumental in the development of the American Express Customer Relation Statement, which is considered the first transaction document with truly personalized customer communications. Implemented worldwide in the mid-1990s, it included marketing and service messages triggered by client intelligence (what came to be called TransPromo a decade later). Many of today's key document creation practices can be traced back to the Amex program that Neil was deeply involved in until his retirement in 2008.

"With the American Express Customer Relationship Statement, Neil helped take what had just been the theory of one to one communications, and put it into practice, changing the transaction document industry forever," said William J. 'Bill' McCalpin, acadami registrar and co-founder. "To have Neil act as the lead instructor for the Introduction to the Transaction Document Workflow program is priceless for anyone who needs a jumpstart into the content at the Xplor Conference and Vendor Forum."
