Spectrum Marketing Services Achieves Great Printer Certification

Press release from the issuing company

The Printing Industry Midwest announces that Spectrum Marketing Services, Little Falls, MN, is the most recent member to obtain Great Printer Certification. The certification process involves a safety and environmental audit and the implementation of two “above compliance” projects.

“The Great Printer Certification will add value to our business and ensure a safe work environment,” said Tom Cotton, President at Spectrum Marketing Services. “Paul Gutkowski will be an asset to our company as a member resource of PIM.”

The Great Printer program has been a service of PIM for over 15 years, recognizing printers for their efforts in environmental and safety operations. Printers in this program have improved the environment by using less hazardous solvents to clean presses, purchasing wind generated electrical energy and many other “green” initiatives. In addition, the certification requires that the printer has two “above compliance” projects in place at all times.

“Many printers attribute their successful OSHA visits with no citations to their Great Printer Certification status, said  Paul Gutkowski, PIM Director of Safety and Environmental Services. “OSHA inspectors (and print buyers) know that the Great Printer logo represents “above and beyond compliance.”

Spectrum Marketing Services began as a small commercial printing facility in 1994. It has now entered into nearly every facet of the marketing services industry creating a unique buying experience for their clients.
