Morgana Digifold Pro Installed at Printworks

Thursday, January 19, 2012

Press release from the issuing company

Long established Montgomery County printer PrintWorks & Company, Inc. has installed a new Morgana Digifold Pro creaser/folder to finish output from its rapidly expanding digital printing department.

Known principally for their high quality full color commercial printing, Printworks has now established a thriving digital print operation based on a Canon Imagepress 7000VP and a Canon Imagerunner 7095.  “We soon realized”, says President Martin Wolfe, “that we had to have finishing equipment that met the specialized needs of digital print, as well as coping better with the fast changeovers required on shorter runs.”

The DigiFold meets PrintWorks’ requirements by being able to crease and fold accurately at high speeds. In addition to using it in its dual-function role, PrintWorks also makes the most of its ability to act as a stand alone creaser or perforator. “This kind of flexibility is important in today’s changing print marketplace”, comments Wolfe, “as is the ability to respond more quickly to our customers’ needs while maintaining the quality of the final finished piece.”

One of Montgomery County’s leading print firms, Printworks & Company Inc. employs 25 people in an operation that provides a fully integrated service combining both digital and offset printing with in-house design services, robust bindery capability, variable data, direct mail, ad specialties and fulfillment.
