Braintree Printing, First U.S. Printer to Install Multigraf Touchline CF375

Press release from the issuing company

Jim Corliss, the owner of Massachusetts-based offset printing and digital printing companyBraintree Printing, first viewed the Touchline CF375 creasing and folding machine in operation at Graph Expo 2011. The device had just been added to Swiss finishing manufacturer Multigraf’s Eurofold line. Corliss said he knew right away that the Touchline CF375 was the perfect solution to his customers’ demand for folded printed materials.

“This machine saves time and that’s the name of the game in printing,” said Corliss. “My customers want fast-turn around and the old-fashioned finishing process involved two steps: creasing and then folding. The Touchline does both at the same time. I’m saving operator time, equipment wear and tear and reducing energy costs, plus customers receive quality finished products faster and that’s my number one priority.”

In 2008, Braintree Printing purchased a Ledco 30” Thoroughbred high speed laminator fromSkandacor Direct and have collaborated with the Rochester, NY company ever since. Jon Congdon, sales manager of Skandacor, and Bob Rowden, salesman, were instrumental in the Touchline CF375 installation. Corliss said he has been impressed with Skandacor’s customer service and high-quality, eco-friendly products and said the company’s recent merger withKeystone Finishing Group solidified its strength as a finishing equipment supplier.

According to Congdon of Skandacor, “The Touchline offers more flexibility than any other product in its class.” He said the Touchline CF375 handles paper stocks up to 400 gsm and uses a revolutionary swing bar operating system which creases while folding in a single pass, eliminating cracking and scratching of digital output. The machine offers two crease styles and can make up to 20 creases and two folds per document on paper sizes as large as 14.75” x 25.5”. Operating quietly at a continuous speed of up to 6,000 sheets per hour, the Touchline CF375 is equipped with a user-friendly touch screen with a “one touch” control button for safe and efficient operation.
