"In the years since XML was introduced at the IDEAlliance 1997 Markup Conference, XML has made the transition from an emerging technology to the core foundation at the heart of today’s content creation, production and delivery tools, processes and workflows," commented Dianne Kennedy, Vice President Emerging Technologies for IDEAlliance. "This seminar focuses on current and emerging media production technologies driven by XML --- or XTechs!"
XTech 2012 includes expert-lead tutorials on computer workstations, technical briefings on emerging XML-based technologies and use case studies offering real-world insight on XML tools and technologies. This hybrid in-person and virtual event will provide a face-to-face educational and networking experience for those able to attend in person, and for others, select sessions will be available real-time over the Internet and available post-conference from the IDEAlliance website.
In the Emerging Technologies Track, attendees will benefit from technical briefings on HTML5, nextPub, EPUB3, CSS3, RDFa, microformats, among other emerging technologies. In the Applied Use Case Studies Track, attendees will learn how their peers are using XTechs to publish beyond the page.
