EskoArtwork maintains a busy events calendar

Press release from the issuing company

This fall season, EskoArtwork Americas maintained a very busy travel schedule in North America, attending a number of industry and company events. Beyond the recently held SGIA Expo, Graph Expo, Pack Expo and Graphics Canada, the company was an active participant in the FTA Fall Conference, the P&G Print Supplier’s Expo, and its own Road Show in Toronto, Canada.

“EskoArtwork appreciates the opportunity to conduct outreach to our customers,” says Mark Quinlan, President, EskoArtwork North America. “We believe that the best way to educate people about the use of our extensive product line is face-to-face. It also allows us to personally advise them about their specific issues and suggest solutions to address their opportunities, whether in packaging, sign & display, or commercial printing.”

Participating with other partners in the P&G suppliers chain

EskoArtwork recently attended the fourth invitation-only P&G Print Supplier’s Expo in Mason, Ohio, September 29th. “We appreciated the opportunity to speak with global P&G employees across multiple business units and key functions about design and color initiatives. We discussed how they could leverage strategic partnerships with their suppliers to achieve their long term vision and goals for printing,” explains Heidi Larsen, EskoArtwork Sales Director, Brand Owner Solutions.

EskoArtwork was present with a booth for the Print Expo and were participants in portions of two guided tours with senior management, purchasing, and other integral design team members. The company also partnered with Sun Chemical on a brand color management presentation during the event.

Bringing color to the FTA Fall Conference

During its Fall Conference from October 10-12 in St. Louis, MO, the FTA put “Color In Focus” before nearly 300 flexographers - exceeding previous records. The audience consisted of mostly printers; but suppliers, prepress technicians, consumer product companies, educators, and students were in attendance as well.

During the event Mark Samworth, EskoArtwork, color consultant and this year’s inductee to the FTA’s Hall of Fame, offered a presentation within the ‘Beyond 4-Color’ subject area. ‘Setting Specifications & Handling Curves for Expanded Gamut Colors & Other Non-CMYK Colors’ delved into how to apply current standards and specs outlined in Flexographic Image Reproduction Specifications & Tolerances to the orange, green and blue of expanded gamut, as well as other spot colors. The well-received presentation offered attendees with a solid understanding of today’s standards, and proven methods to get desired results. Other customers and EskoArtwork partners referenced EskoArtwork color technology in their presentations. EskoArtwork also participated during the conference’s expo with a booth.

Taking the EskoArtwork Road Show to Toronto Canada

On October 26, EskoArtwork brought its Road Show north of the border to Ryerson University in Toronto. Nearly 100 people from packaging and sign & display companies braved the weather to deepen their understanding about EskoArtwork products such as EskoArtwork Studio, WebCenter, DeskPack tools, Automation Engine, HD Flexo, Digital Flexo Suite and i-cut Suite. “People seemed particularly keen on WebCenter; not only for corrugated or flexible packaging, but just about everyone. Given the nature of communications today, people were also interested in its mobile capabilities,” remarks Marc Raad, EskoArtwork Account Manager, Canada. “We also saw strong interest in 3D design tools — not only from our Studio plugins for Adobe® Illustrator®, but also within ArtiosCAD.”

“As these three events highlight, EskoArtwork continues to be an important influencer for packaging, sign & display, and print companies. All of these events focused not only on booth demos, but also on presentations to help companies manage the process of packaging and sign & display production. The guided tour and supply chain presentation at the P&G Print Supplier’s Expo were very well received, as was Marc Samworth’s overview about expanded gamut at the FTA Fall Conference ? and all of the sessions in Toronto,” notes Quinlan. “We had a successful turnout at the Toronto Road Show, which mirrored the busy activity at our four recent trade show booths. We enjoy being a knowledge leader, and look forward to working with more people at many venues during 2012.”
